As Alto remains the top choice in entry level car segment, other models like Cultus and Swift also amassed decent sales. These car offer only basic features, while their built quality also remained below par as compared to imported variants, but that does not affect sales.

Earlier this year, Suzuki launched an upgraded version of the locally assembled Alto in Pakistan, adding key safety features like ABS brakes and seatbelt reminders. These improvements come alongside a price increase of up to 120,000, which Suzuki says is justified by the new enhancements.
New Alto is lighter than international versions, which has raised concerns about its stability and safety, especially on highways. To address this, Suzuki introduced features such as anti-lock braking, seatbelt warning systems, child seat anchors, and improved power window functions.
