The speakers at Law Summit here on Wednesday urged the young lawyers to adopt a positive approach towards service to the people to eliminate the negative impression of the legal profession.
While speaking as chief guest at the event organized by the Law Department of the University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, former Chief Justice of AJK High Court, Mustafa Mughal said, “Our young professionals should build confidence in their personality to come up to the expectations of the people and should seek guidance from seniors before proceeding for any case in the courts.”
The Vice-Chancellor University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kaleem Abbasi, Dean Faculty of Arts Prof. Dr. Haroon ur-Rasheed, Coordinator Law Department Prof. Hasnat Gilani, Director Student Affairs Dr. Imtiaz Awan, President Central Bar Association Raja Aftab Advocate, Secretary High Court Bar Association Zulqarnain Naqvi Advocate and other speakers also addressed the gathering.
Mustafa Mughal said that the profession of legal practice is one of the noblest of all professions because it seeks relief and justice for the deprived persons within the parameters of the law.
The former CJ AJK HC urged the law students to make hard work and honesty as well as respect to their seniors an integral part of their life to succeed in their professional life.
Addressing the function, the Vice-Chancellor of Azad Jammu and Kashmir University, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kaleem Abbasi said that most of the judges in the region of Azad Kashmir, from Justice Yousuf Saraf, Justice Abdul Majeed Malik to Justice Ghulam Mustafa Mughal, have not only gained high respect in the judiciary.
