KARACHI – Light rains are expected in Karachi and the coastal areas of Sindh on Wednesday night.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), monsoon currents penetrate the upper and central parts of Pakistan. A westerly wave also affects the central/upper parts of the country.
Under these weather conditions, light rains are expected in Karachi and the coastal areas of Sindh on Wednesday night. Hot and humid weather is expected elsewhere in the province.
On Thursday and Friday, mainly hot and very humid weather is expected in most districts of the province.
Karachi’s maximum temperature is expected to remain between 35°C and 37°C on Thursday and between 36°C and 38°C on Friday.
Hyderabad’s maximum temperature is expected to remain between 37°C and 39°C on Thursday and between 38°C and 40°C on Friday.
Meanwhile, hot and humid weather prevailed in Karachi, Hyderabad and most districts of Sindh during the last 24 hours.
Dadu remained the hottest place in Sindh, where the maximum temperature was recorded at 43°C. The maximum temperature in Sukkur and Mohenjo-Daro was recorded at 40°C.
In Karachi, the maximum temperature was recorded at 34°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 62 per cent.
In Hyderabad, the maximum temperature was recorded at 37°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 60 per cent.
