LAHORE – Aspirants have paced up preparations for the MDCAT 2025 (Medical and Dental College Admission Test) amid media reports regarding its expected schedule.
MDCAT is a standardised entrance exam in Pakistan for students seeking admission to medical and dental colleges.
Conducted by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC), the test evaluates students in subjects like Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and English.
MDCAT is a mandatory requirement for both public and private medical institutions across the country. It is highly competitive, with thousands of students appearing each year.

MDCAT 2025 Expected Date
Reports suggest that the MDCAT entry test would be held in end-September 2025. It is expected that the crucial test would take place at any date between September 21-30.
New Rules and Regulations
Earlier this month, PMDC has announced new rules and regulations for MDCAT examination.
A minimum of 65 percent marks in FSC is mandatory for admission to medical and dental colleges. Only candidates with domicile of the province will be able to participate in MDCAT.
A domicile holder of one province will not be able to take the MDCAT exam in another province. Only the Saudi capital Riyadh will be the center for MDCAT exam abroad.
Officials said the MDCAT exam will be held under new rules and regulations this year.
