Federal Minister of State and Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhammad Khan has said that violation of merit in the past destroyed the education system.
He expressed these views while addressing a function after the inauguration of a new hostel (Rakhman Baba Block) at the University of Engineering and Technology (UET).
The event was attended by faculty members and students. Member Provincial Assembly Zahir Shah Toro and Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shahid Khattak also addressed the function.
Addressing the function, the Vice Chancellor of the University gave a briefing on the University and the works under construction. Ali Mohammad Khan said that the previous rulers had made universities centers of employment.
Only by making teachers VIPs can the country develop. “Nations that respect their teachers are viewed with respect and dignity,” he said.—Akhunzada Fazle Haq
