ISLAMABAD – More intermittent rains and windstorms are predicted in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and parts of Pakistan on Thursday night and the next two days.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), weak moist currents from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal penetrate the upper/central parts of Pakistan.
Under these conditions, more intermittent rains and windstorms are predicted in the twin cities and at isolated places of southeastern/lower Sindh, northeastern/southern Balochistan, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northeastern/south Punjab, Potohar region and Kashmir on Thursday night and the next two days.
Islamabad’s maximum temperature is expected to remain between 34°C and 36°C on Friday and Saturday, and between 33°C and 35°C on Sunday.
Rawalpindi’s maximum temperature is expected to remain between 33°C and 35°C on Friday and Saturday, and between 32°C and 34°C on Sunday.
Meanwhile, rains with a few heavy falls occurred in Islamabad and at isolated places of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and northeast Balochistan during the last 24 hours. Hot and humid weather prevailed over other parts of the country.

Dalbandin and Nokkundi remained the hottest places in Pakistan, where the maximum temperature was recorded at 48°C. The maximum temperature in Bunji, Sibbi and Chilas was recorded at 45°C.
In Islamabad, the maximum temperature was recorded at 35°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 65 per cent.
In Rawalpindi, the maximum temperature was recorded at 34°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 60 per cent.
