The Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) has launched a scathing attack on the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), accusing its leadership of institutionalizing corruption and exploiting Karachi’s resources. “PPP’s newly appointed spokespersons reacting in panic proves that our criticism has hit the mark,” an MQM P spokesperson stated.
“We have only started exposing their corruption, and yet their entire team is already in an uproar.” The MQM P spokesperson alleged that PPP has “a PhD in corruption,” turning it into a full-fledged industry. “They don’t let go of Karachi’s tax money, nor do they miss any opportunity for corruption,” he remarked.
He further accused PPP leaders of running their households on funds generated from large-scale corruption in institutions like the Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) and the Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation. “Illegal constructions, the tanker mafia, fake medicines, ghost buses, and rising inflation in Sindh are all results of PPP’s governance,” he added.
Highlighting Karachi’s deteriorating law and order, the spokesperson stated, “Every day, young people are losing their lives in robberies, and in Sanghar, grieving mothers are forced to sit on roads with their children’s bodies.”
He also pointed out that even Chinese companies operating in Sindh have been compelled to approach courts against police extortion.
“This is a clear sign of the collapse of governance,” he said. MQM P vowed to continue exposing PPP’s alleged corruption, asserting, “This is just the beginning. We will keep unveiling the truth about Sindh government’s wrongdoings.” The spokesperson also warned PPP ministers and their “newly appointed spokespersons” to brace themselves for more revelations.
