The former Medical Superintendent (MS) of tehsil headquarters hospital Hassanabdal refuted the allegation of “harassment” and teasing medical staff duty and demanded impartial inquiry from provincial minister for health and chief secretary health in the state of the affairs of the hospital.
Earlier on Friday, the district health authorities removed Medical Superintendent (MS) of tehsil headquarters hospital Hassanabdal after doctors went on strike to register their protest over “tough” duty schedule and allegation of harassment of female doctors.
The former Medical Superintendent (MS) Dr Shehryar Iqbal while addressing press conference at press club termed the transfer as unjust and un-called for and termed it “serious administrative failure at part of the district administration as well as district health authorities.
“The authorities bowed to the protesting female doctors just mere on allegations and they (alleged doctors) failed to prove the allegations”. Mr Iqbal claimed.
He said that he was on long leave and when resumed duty on Friday, the doctors alleged allegations of harassment over him and duty roster was scheduled in his absence, he added.
