LAHORE – Musa Maneka’s smug face has been all over the internet as his son of Bushra Bibi has been taken into custody for opening fire on the househelp.
In a shocking display of arrogance, Musa Maneka son of Bushra Bibi and ex-husband Khawar Maneka, was seen smiling in handcuffs as police escorted him from his family residence following a violent shooting incident.
According to police, Maneka allegedly opened fire on household employee Ali Bahadur over a dispute related to unfinished work. The victim sustained life-threatening injuries and, disturbingly, was initially denied medical help by the accused himself. It was only after delay that he was rushed to the hospital, where emergency surgery saved his life.
Authorities revealed that Maneka was found armed with multiple weapons at time of the arrest. Eyewitnesses reported disturbing lack of remorse, as the accused grinned while being led away by a large contingent of cops.
District Police Officer (DPO) took notice of the incident and said “No matter how powerful the perpetrator is, the law will take its course. No one is above the law.”
So far, Khawar Maneka has remained silent, offering no comment on the incident involving his son. As the investigation unfolds, questions are being raised about elite privilege, misuse of power, and accountability in Pakistan’s justice system.
In 2023, Khawar Maneka was also arrested from Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport during a routine immigration check while he was reportedly preparing to board a flight to UAE. Upon verification, it was discovered that his name was listed on the Exit Control List (ECL), barring him from leaving the country. He was immediately handed over to the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE), which has registered a case against him.
Maneka family is known for his strong spiritual affiliation with Sufi saint Baba Farid Ganj Shakkar. His past connection to Bushra Bibi, now Pakistan’s former First Lady, has drawn public and media interest amid the ongoing political climate in the country.
