KARACHI – Famous TV host and artist Nadia Khan opened up about her arduous journey she endured for a decade to maintain her relationship with her first husband.
Nadia Khan left the audience surprise by sharing her trust in herself and resilience.
She was giving an interview to a local TV.
The actress talked about her personal life, particularly about her first marriage, saying that it was full of trials and tribulations.
She revealed that she did the first marriage by her own choice and therefore, tried to maintain it. She said she accepted the challenges.
“If I were to define a love marriage in the 90s, it would sound laughable. Our engagement marked only our second meeting. Though I liked him, there was no prior dating,” said the actress.
Unfortunately, she said, what began as a romantic tale soon turned sour – a chapter of her life seldom discussed.
Recalling those tumultuous times, she admitted, “Had it not been for that experience, I wouldn’t be the Nadia Khan you see today.”
Nadia confessed that she realized the marriage was a mistake within the first 10 minutes. However, her upbringing in a conservative family instilled a sense of obligation to persevere regardless of the circumstances.
Thus, she endured the tumult for a decade, striving to salvage what was left of the relationship.
Throughout this ordeal, Nadia kept her struggles concealed from her parents, fearing their disappointment in her failure.
She bore the burden alone and determined not to relinquish the relationship.
However, after ten years of silent struggle, she finally confided in her father, who wasted no time in bringing her back home, embracing her with unwavering support.
Expressing his concern, he questioned why she endured such hardship for so long.
Nadia reflected, “What good does it serve to remain in an abusive marriage where both parties are suffering?”
Having been married twice and blessed with two children from her first marriage, Nadia’s revelation left her fans stunned.
