Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf has stressed the need of understanding the evolving nature of modern warfare and emerging maritime security threats.
Addressing the participants of 54th PN Staff Course during his visit to Pakistan Navy War College on Friday, he said that military strategies must address the complexities of contemporary security challenges. He congratulated officers on successful completion of the PN staff course and encouraged them to be meticulous, analytical, and innovative in their forthcoming assignments.
Naveed Ashraf highlighted Pakistan’s maritime challenges and available response options. He said that new geopolitical realignments and ongoing power rivalries in the region continue to affect security environment in the Indian Ocean Region.
He said that the recent crises between Pakistan and India, and conflict between Iran and Israel, serve as testimony to this dynamic environment. He underscored the importance of building a technologically advanced and intellectually capable workforce. He emphasized that preparing an intelligent and technologically equipped workforce was important to win future wars.
He also reaffirmed the Pakistan Navy’s commitment to safeguarding national maritime interests, saying the Pakistan Navy was always ready to deal with all kinds of threats.
