Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader Nehal Hashmi said on Sunday that former prime minister NawazSharif is a “ray of hope” for the country.Addressing a press conference in Karachi, Hashmi said: ‘’When Nawaz Sharif came into power, Karachi witnessed a law and order situation.’’
He was of the view that Karachi would play an active role in the generalelections. ‘’The people of Sindh will only elect those who have played arole in Karachi’s development.””In the past, the PML-N-led government had completed numerous projectsin Sindh”, he added.Few days back, PML-N senior leader Nehal Hashmi said that the electionsin the country will be held before February.Addressing a press conference in Sukkur, Hashmi said, ‘’This timearound, the country will witness elections, not selection. If we arevoted into power, there will be no purchasing of jobs.’’
He rued, “When I headed to Sukkur, the feeling came into my mind thatthis is the city based in the 17th century. We [PML-N] will constructthe Lahore-like roads in Sukkur.’’Few days back, PML-N senior leader Ahsan Iqbal praised former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.Speaking to media outside the judicial complex, the former planningminister said, ‘’Nawaz Sharif has said that the institutions should playtheir role to take the country out of the economic quagmire.’’He went on to recount the development projects initiated during thetenure of Nawaz Sharif.
‘’Nawaz Sharif has completed the developmentalprojects in the country,’’ he added.In line with holding the elections, Nawaz Sharif stated, “The electionsshould be held immediately after the finalisation of the delimitation.”
