LAHORE – Public and private schools in all cities of Punjab, including Lahore, will resume new timings after Eidul Fitr 2024 as reduced hours were announced for holy month of Ramadan 2024.
All schools have announced public holidays till April 13 on the account of Eid with the educational institutions reopening on April 15 (Monday).
During the holy month of fasting, the single shift schools open at 8:30am and end at 1pm on weekdays (Monday to Thursday). On Friday, the school timings are from 8:30am – 12:30 pm. For second-shift schools, classes start at 1pm and will continue till 4pm.

On Fridays, classes in boys’ schools will be held from 8:30 to 12:15 pm, while girls’ school timings will finish at 12 pm.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department has indicated the possibility of the Shawwal moon sighting on April 9.
It stated that the new moon will be born on the night of April 8 at 11:21 PM, and there are possibilities of the moon being sighted on April 9.
On the other hand, the federal government has also announced public holidays from April 10 to 13 for Eidul Fitr 2024.
