LAHORE – The Punjab government has exempted certain vehicles from necessary Emission testing certification.
The relief has been extended on the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the Environment Protection and Climate Change Department in a statement on social media.
“Vehicles up to three years old are exempted from Emission Testing,” read the statement. It means if you buy a new vehicle or up to three year old car, you will no need to take the emission testing certification.
Emission Testing Booths Reopening Date After Eid
The department said the Emission Testing Booths will resume operations at designated locations again from Wednesday, June 11, after the Eidul Azha holidays.
People can avail the services from 9am to 5pm at the designated booths across the Lahore.
Emission Testing Booth Locations in Lahore
The Environment Protection Agency (EPA) has increased the number of emission testing booths in Lahore from eight to 60.

Green Sticker
After completing the Emission Testing Certification, the officials will paste a green sticker on the windscreen of the vehicles, which reflects that the vehicle has no adverse affect on environment.
