Says voters defied all follies by ‘thugs and patwaris’ in PP-38 by-poll

Special Assistant to Punjab Chief Minister on Information Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that the PTI has given a strong message to the people in by-poll to PP-38 Sialkot about the importance of honesty and corruption-free politics.
Talking to the media on Thursday, Dr Firdous said the PML-N called in its leaders – “thugs and patwaris” from across Punjab to PP-38 and they were assigned duties at different polling stations to disrupt the polling process and pressurize voters with an open display of weapons.
She said that Abid Raza was also there along with weapons to terrorize the voters. “As many as 5 FIRs were registered on election day as the PTI government is against such illegal practices,” she said.
The SACM said that neither the federal government, nor the provincial government made any interference in the election process. “Both the PTI and PML-N keenly contested the election.
It is quite satisfying that the PML-N politics is entrapped in a blind alley because of the continuous follies of Maryam Safdar.” The SACM said that after the defeat in AJK elections, the PML-N is seeking covert support from its political handler in India.
Dr Firdous said the PML-N even distributed money in Union Councils to influence the voters but the people preferred to maintain sanctity of vote.
She said the PTI’s success is the result of collective efforts under the guidance and supervision of PM Imran Khan and CM Usman Buzdar and voters were fully charged to use their right of vote in favour of PTI.
“I am thankful to my leadership who encouraged and congratulated me over the results,” she said.
The SACM said the PTI has achieved success with the power of its commitment to maintaining honesty and trust in politics.
The election result has smashed away the idols of corruption and kickbacks yesterday. We won the PP-38 election with tireless efforts and better teamwork, she said.
She said the people listened to the traditional wail of the fake princess in which she started leveling allegations in advance to justify her defeat.
Dr Firdous asked Atta Tarar to better change his name after the defeat as the nation knows that he is the political massager of the Sharif family.
Pride hath a fall. The bondmaid talked nonsense and the PML-N sowed the seeds of hatred. The cronies of PML-N used abusive language. We achieved success with the power of the vote, she said.
The SACM termed PTI a family, which has been moving forward with the vision of PM Imran Khan. Nazir Chohan and Shehzad Akbar should refrain from making extreme statements.
The case against Nazir Chohan is a litmus test. We are thankful to our workers, media personnel and people of Sialkot for their support, she said. T
he success of Ahsan Saleem will result in accelerated development and prosperity in the constituency, she assured.
The SACM said the PTI government is bringing the youth forward as the young people are working for the development of the country by becoming a valuable asset of PM Imran Khan.
The result of PP-38 is the victory of youth. The traditional politics of katcheri and police stations have ended yesterday and victory belongs to the people of the constituency.
The people have kicked the PML-N from Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan and Sialkot. Pakistan is moving forward on the path of progress and development, she said.
Dr Firdous said the CM Punjab is reviewing public sector projects in each district and the journey of development and positive change will continue.
The political rigging will not work anymore. The people of Pakistan have answered the anti-state elements in a befitting manner and wiped them out.
Under the leadership of CM Usman Buzdar, Iqbal’s Shaheen are moving forward towards a brighter Pakistan and the narrative of the State will prevail, concluded the SACM.
