GAZA – At least 95 Palestinians were martyred as Israeli forces continued their relentless airstrikes across the Gaza Strip, further escalating the already dire humanitarian crisis in the region, the Arab media reported on Tuesday.
The Israeli warplanes, according to the media reports, targeted several areas in Gaza including residential neighborhoods and aid distribution sites.
Among the victims were civilians waiting in line for humanitarian assistance and patients at a hospital that came under direct attack.
The deadliest strikes occurred in Gaza City and northern Gaza, where at least 62 people lost their lives in a single day. In a separate incident, the Israeli navy reportedly targeted a beachfront café in Gaza City, killing over 30 people and injuring dozens more. Eyewitnesses confirmed that women, children, and journalists were among those killed in the attack.
These latest assaults further compounded the suffering of Gaza’s population, where millions are already enduring severe shortages of food, clean water, electricity, and medical supplies. Human rights organizations continue to warn that the situation in Gaza is nearing total collapse.
The ongoing military offensive began on October 7, 2023, and has since resulted in the deaths of over 56,000 Palestinians, including thousands of women and children. The international community has repeatedly called for a ceasefire, but the violence shows no sign of abating.
The analysts feared that the continued attacks on civilian infrastructure and public gathering spaces might constitute violations of international humanitarian law which intensified the calls for accountability and urgent international intervention.
