RAWALPINDI – Pakistan Security Forces conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Awaran District of Balochistan, eliminating Indian-sponsored militant outfit Fitna al Hindustan.
According to official sources, the operation was launched in wake of credible intelligence reports regarding presence of terrorists in the area. During the operation, security forces effectively engaged the hostile elements, killing three terrorists associated with the foreign-backed group.
Tragically, the operation also saw the loss of a brave son of the soil, Major Syed Rabnawaz Tariq, aged 34, hailing from District Muzaffarabad. The officer, known for his professionalism and valor, was leading the operation from the front when he embraced martyrdom during the fierce exchange of fire.
Pakistan Army initiated a sanitization operation in the area to ensure the complete elimination of any remaining terrorist presence.
Military officials reaffirmed the nation’s resolve to root out terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, particularly those backed by hostile foreign agencies. Armed forces said sacrifices of courageous officers like Major Tariq will never be forgotten and will continue to inspire the ongoing fight against terrorism.
