TEHRAN – Field Marshal Chief of Army Staff of the Pakistan Army Syed Asim Munir discussed collaboration on security and counterterrorism efforts along their shared border with Chief of Staff of Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Hossein Bagheri.
During recent talks, Iranian top general Bagheri stressed both nations to eliminate terrorism on both sides of border. He highlighted success of existing coordination between their armed forces in managing border control and called for further strengthening of cooperation.
Pakistan Field Marshal acknowledged valuable experience held by Iranian Armed Forces in various military fields and expressed his commitment to deepening ties between Islamabad and Tehran.
The meeting stressed ongoing efforts by Iran and Pakistan to promote regional stability through joint security initiatives and enhanced military collaboration.

PM Shehbaz Sharif also called on top Iranian officials and expressed readiness to hold talks with India to resolve key issues like Kashmir and water security. He thanked Tehran for its support amid recent military tensions and emphasized deep cultural ties between the two countries.
Shehbaz highlighted importance of strengthening cooperation with Iran in trade and other sectors, and commended Iranian diplomats for their role during the conflict and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to peace and resolving disputes through dialogue in line with international resolutions.
