Pakistan’s Defense Minister confirmed that Indian soldiers were captured in the wake of an escalating military exchange. Reports indicate that Indian jets, including Rafale aircraft, were shot down during the intense air clashes, bringing the number of Indian aircraft lost to five.
In retaliation, India launched missile strikes targeting key locations in Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir.
Pakistan reported at least eight fatalities and 35 injuries in the wake of the strikes, as military forces on both sides continue to engage. According to reports, Pakistani air defense systems successfully intercepted and downed several Indian fighter jets, with five Indian aircraft confirmed destroyed.
