ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) on Saturday formally asked the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) to provide a complete record of the foreign trips made by its President and Secretary along with the financial expenditures incurred during these visits.
In a letter sent to the PHF, the PSB clarified that the responsibility of paying Travel and Daily Allowances (TADA) to players and officials during international tours lies solely with the federation, not the PSB.
Referring to the Nations Cup held in Malaysia, the letter pointed out that the PHF has still not submitted details regarding the disbursement of allowances to the national players. The board noted that the PHF failed to provide an account of the funds allocated last year, despite being reminded multiple times both verbally and in writing.
On May 30, 2025, the PHF admitted in writing that it had funds available in its bank accounts, yet players were not given their daily allowances. A follow-up request for clarification was made on July 20 but no response has been received to date.
The PSB further stated that if the PHF is facing a financial crisis, it must first submit a complete financial account. This includes bank statements from the past six months, a detailed record of foreign trips undertaken by the President and Secretary, and the costs associated with those trips.
Besides it, the PSB asked for full details about the establishment of the new PHF office in Islamabad, including proof of approval from the federation’s executive board.
