LAHORE – Pakistan will announce squad for the T20 World Cup 2024 on Friday (tomorrow).
The deadline for sending the final squad names to the ICC for the short format World Cup 2024 is May 25.
The Pakistan Cricket Board has not yet announced the T20 World Cup 2024 squad. The selectors have finalized the names for the 15-member squad, which will be announced tomorrow.
In addition to the 15-member final squad, the names of 3 traveling reserve players will also be announced.
The ICC T20 World Cup 2024 would start on June 2, 2024, and will be jointly hosted by the West Indies and the USA.
Meanwhile, a series of four T20I matches between Pakistan and England will begin today. The series against England is considered important for the World Cup 2024 preparations.
Captain Babar Azam also declared the England series as crucial for World Cup preparations.
Due to their engagement in the bilateral series, the teams of England and Pakistan would not be able to play the warm-up matches for the T20 World Cup 2024.
