IF not the international community, at least the history itself complains of continuous pogrom of the Palestinian people for the past 106 human bloodshed years in the Middle East; the blood bursting basis was laid bare by the Balfour Declaration in 1917; that was unprecedented in the sense that a home of a people was disturbed and divided by a declaration squeezing the inmates of the house in split part of the same home; the division event had stunned the humanist historians of the day.
Since then the huge sacrifices of the Palestine people, destruction of their properties, environment, human lineage, domesticity continues as unbroken saddest saga; of all the saddest fact is the United Nations Security Council itself whose territorial recommendatory judgment in Palestine case is not honoured by Balfour Declaration installer, Israel in the land of Palestine.
That non-compliance broke open the blood-and-bones deluge of human lives across Palestine; astonishing to the extent of condemnation is the icy attitude of the so-called claimants to the global leadership that UNSC rulings could not be implemented even after 76 years on; this interregnum is an open dirge on their sleepiness over surging human tragedies in the entire Middle East.
The ME is of extraordinary geo-strategic vitality region for several logical essentials; this aspect causes recurrence of wars and destruction among rivals in the region; it is in this centrality of the region that permanent peace and adjustability seem near impossible. In-between the poor people of Palestine will have to suffer more prolonged periods despite the UNSC legality on their side.
But today’s geographic world does not care for morality or legality of any depth as the peace breaking events across the world stand stunning witness to this lamentable fact. Power everywhere rides roughshod pulling down the walls of morals and compassion. And this is the practical way of earthly life.
Today’s Palestine is the only land piece on the earth whose homes, hearths, hospitals bleed to the broken bones by schizophrenic missiles raining and bombardment by international-laws-rebel Israel; the Palestine race bashing by Israel has terrified visibly, especially the whole African continent that has become one voice condemning Israeli anti-Palestinian atrocities sparing not even patients in beds in the hospitals; even the UN cried out over the horrendous killing of Palestinian teens/children and civilians and UN staffers by Israeli hostile actions; the Jeddah Islamic summit’s declaration is symbolic in solidarity with the annihilation-facing Palestinians’ mothers, children, youths, patients, the disabled, even the pets; what the Palestinian leftover population needs is their economic survival; one can imagine the worst plight when a population is war-ridden, denied even drinking water, not to mention other essential life requirements.
Palestine tragedy is a test for all humanitarian governments, organizations to give practical proof how far they can inch forward in extending much needed succour to the Palestinians in refugee camps. Related to the Palestine situation emerges the fact that spurning the UNSC Palestine recommendations has heralded the utmost dangerous era in having healthy international relations. Such one sided tragic events as in Palestine today shows that the weaker nations have no secure future for them; they can become temperamental toast of any power any time anywhere with no listening from any side.
