KARACHI – Gold prices in Pakistan witnessed another drop in line with the downturn in international bullion markets as drop comes day after a modest surge, showing ongoing volatility in precious metal rates.
Data shared by Sarafa Association shows price of 24-karat bullion moving down by Rs3,000 per tola bringing new rate to Rs351,500. whereas price for 10 grams of gold plunged by Rs2,572, now standing at Rs301,354.

Last month, gold prices were at Rs349,400 and price climbed to Rs356,800 by July 1, showing a steady upward trend. This upward momentum continued briefly, peaking at Rs357,000 on July 3. However, from July 4 onward, prices began to retreat, dropping to Rs355,500 and then Rs353,000 by July 7.
The drop follows a gain of Rs1,500 per tola recorded on Tuesday, when gold had reached Rs354,500 in the domestic market.
On the international front, gold prices also experienced a slide. The global rate was reported at $3,292 per ounce showing $33 decrease in value. Meanwhile, silver prices in the local market remained unchanged. The rate for silver stood steady at Rs3,841 per tola.
