Following a suicide blast at a mosque in Peshawar’s Police Lines, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Murad Saeed announced to hold a ‘Peace Rally’ in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) capital and urged activists of all political parties to join the protest.
In a statement on Thursday, the former federal minister announced to hold a ‘Peace Rally’ in Peshawar after Friday prayers and urged all citizens to participate in the protest ‘keeping their political affiliations aside’.
“We will not let the peace – which we achieved after sacrificing 80,000 lives – to be destroyed in any way,” Murad Saeed said, adding that they will not participate in other’s war again.
He also lauded the sacrifices of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) for ‘peace’, but expressed displeasure over the ‘propaganda and politics’ over the Peshawar blast.
