There could be no further progress in hearing of the petition filed in the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) for the disqualification of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader, former prime minister and Leader of the Opposition in Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani and his son Ali Haider Gilani on Monday due to the absence of petitioners’ lawyer.
A two-member bench of the ECP, consisting of members Nisar Durrani and Shah Muhammad Jatoi, heard the petition filed by Minister of State Farrukh Habib and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) MNA Aliya Hamza Malik.
