ISLAMABAD – The government of Pakistan has announced relief on petrol, diesel prices by up to Rs8.47 per litre as gift on Independece Day.
In contrast to usual fortnight review – that used to be held on mid of month – the federal government announced new petrol price ahead of Indepedence Day.

Amid the global drop in oil rates, petrol and diesel prices in Pakistan were decreased. The drop in POLs will also bring sigh of relief for inflation-hit consumers, who are facing back-breaking inflation.
In previous review, the government lowered petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs6.17 and Rs10.86 per liter, respectively.
