LAHORE – The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) retrieved plots worth tens of millions of rupees during a grand operation in different blocks of Johar Town last Tuesday.
LDA teams retrieved possession of nine plots (measuring five, seven and 10 marlas) worth millions of rupees after demolishing illegal constructions and boundary walls during operations against land grabbers in D, H-I and H-II blocks of Johar Town.
LDA Director Housing-VII Yawar Virk supervised the operations carried out by the enforcement teams with the help of the Police and heavy machinery.
LDA Director General Tahir Farooq has directed continuing indiscriminate operations against land grabbers, encroachments, and violations of building bylaws in LDA-controlled areas. He has directed including these plots in the LDA plot bank after fencing and installation of LDA ownership boards. He also directed ensuring the safety of public properties in housing schemes.
