BAKU – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif engaged with Presidents of Turkiye and Iran on sidelines of the 17th Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Summit being held in Khankendi, Azerbaijan.
During his meeting with Turkish President Erdogan, two leaders discussed matters of mutual interest, regional developments, and ways to further deepen the strategic partnership between Pakistan and Turkiye.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing cooperation in trade, investment, defence, and other key sectors.
In separate meeting, PM Shehbaz Sharif met with President of Iran Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian. Two sides reviewed progress made in bilateral cooperation since their last engagement and expressed satisfaction with the implementation of previously agreed initiatives.
PM Sharif reiterated Islamabad’s unwavering support for Iranian people and government, emphasizing the importance of sustained dialogue and diplomacy to ensure peace and stability in the region.
These engagements reflect Pakistan’s continued commitment to strengthening regional ties and fostering economic and political collaboration among ECO member states.
