ISLAMABAD – Mr. Liu Jianchao, Minister for International Department of the Communist Party of China called on Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif on June 21 2024 in the capital city of Islamabad.
PM Sharif expressed gratitude on hosting Mr. Liu Jianchao and his delegation. He congratulated him and Pakistani political leaders on the success of the 3rd Joint Cooperation Committee (JCM) meeting held earlier today.
Two sides discussed All Weather Strategic cooperation between iron friends, highlighting its significance, with special focus on strategic cooperation evolving with the upgrade of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
PM thanked Chinese minister for its full support in Beijing’s joint efforts to strengthen “iron-clad ties.”
Pakistani premier also acknowledged President Xi Jinping’s visionary leadership for advancing bilateral ties between Islamabad and Beijing to new heights.
The statement emphasized that there is complete political consensus in both sides regarding the importance and strength of strategic partnership.
