An Indian police sub-inspector, who was injured in an attack in the Eidgah area of Srinagar on October 29 succumbed on Thursday.
A top official told the media that the police officer was undergoing treatment at Soura hospital after being attacked in Eidgah while he was playing cricket. “He was shifted to New Delhi a few days ago for specialised treatment; however, he died, today,” the official added. The deceased policeman has been identified as Masroor Ahmad Wani.—KMS
