A report submitted to Prime Minister Imran Khan by the police on the arrests made in raids on land grabbers, drug dealers and gamblers in Lahore shows that 70 of the alleged criminals were members of various political parties.
The police report says that political parties have been the most vigorous supporters of gamblers for a long time. Forty-seven gamblers arrested by the police in raids have active support of 35 representatives of different political parties. Fifty-three of the drug dealers arrested by the police too have a strong support of 36 representatives of different political parties. Police said in the report that 16 land grabbers were arrested in different raids and they had a strong support of 12 representatives of different political parties, both ruling and opposition parties.
