LAHORE – President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari, has expressed confidence that Chairman Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari would become Pakistan’s next young Prime Minister with the public mandate.
The statement came during a meeting at the Governor House Lahore, where the PPP organization and ticket holders from Attock, led by Governor Punjab Sardar Salim Haider, called on President Zardari.
President Zardari emphasized that Pakistan exists because of the collective presence of all political parties. He praised the unity shown by all political forces in support of the armed forces amid escalating Pakistan-India tensions, which, according to him, compelled India to face setbacks.
He further said that the PPP has always sacrificed for the country and democracy. He noted that the party has become active and dynamic in Punjab. “Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will be the next young Prime Minister of the country with the support of the people,” he added.
President Zardari also described the PPP as a party of workers, laborers, government employees, and the underprivileged segments of society.
On this occasion, the PPP Attock organization also invited President Asif Ali Zardari for a visit to Attock.
It may be mentioned here that President Zardari arrived in Lahore on Saturday night. He watched the final match of PSL 10 at Gaddafi Stadium as a guest of honour. Later, he handed over the trophy to Lahore Qalandars.
