Punjab Minister for Human Rights and Minority Affairs (HR&MA), Ejaz Alam Augustine has said that we all have to promote peace and love in the society to eliminate culture of intolerance. These views were expressed by him while addressing an interfaith harmony conference organized by a social organization in Multan on Thursday.
Ejaz Alam said that division and segregation among the people in the name of color, race and religion not acceptable while the tragedies of Peshawar, Sialkot and Mian Channu were the result of intolerance. He said that for a positive change in attitudes, people need to be educated at the local level so that an ideal and peaceful society can be established.
The provincial minister further said that all religions and sects are respectable and no religion allows chaos and disorder on the basis of caste and creed. —APP
