PESHAWAR – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and Leader of the Opposition in the Senate Shibli Faraz was admitted to the Peshawar Institute of Cardiology (PIC) late last night after experiencing chest pain.
The hospital sources said Shibli Faraz was brought to the facility in an emergency and is currently in stable condition. The doctors decided to keep him under observation for the next 24 to 48 hours as a precautionary measure.
PIC Spokesperson Riffat Anjum confirmed that the PTI leader received immediate medical attention upon arrival. A team of cardiology specialists was monitoring his condition closely and would hold a consultation today to determine the next steps in his treatment.
It has been revealed that Shibli Faraz had previously undergone angiography and has been under regular cardiac care at the same institute.
Last year in December, Shibli Faraz resigned from the Judicial Commission of Pakistan.
Shibli Faraz, the leader of the opposition in the Senate and a leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has resigned from the membership of the Judicial Commission. Senator Ali Zafar will now represent the Judicial Commission in his place.
