The provincial government in Punjab is set to declare winter holidays for schools due to the cold weather. However, some local media outlets claimed that the early vacations were due to smog, but no official has confirmed this yet.

Last week, schools in some parts of Punjab were closed for a three-day weekend due to high levels of air pollution. However, educational activities continued on Monday despite the alarming conditions.

According to reliable sources, the government has decided not to extend the regular winter vacations, and schools and other educational institutions will remain closed from late December to early January.
