LAHORE – A local court in Balochistan’s capital has issued an arrest warrant for ousted Prime Minister Imran Khan in a case for inciting the officers of the state institutions.
Reports in local media said the court directed law enforcers to produce Imran Khan before the court. A recent warrant was issued against the defiant leader who is facing nearly 70 cases related to sedition, terrorism, and other serious sections.
The recent development comes days after Quetta police lodged a case against Imran Khan at the complaint of citizen as PTI chief leveled baseless allegations against the state institutions. FIR stated that the former prime minister spread hatred by making inflammatory speeches against the officers of the state institutions.
The former premier, who was ousted in April 2022 through a no-confidence vote, continued to face charges as he is up in arms against the military establishment and ruling alliance.
As the government is making all-out efforts to nab the firebrand politician, PTI warned of protests all over the country, in case of the arrest of the populist leader, calling him their red line.
