Punjab government has announced a local holiday in the provincial capital Lahore and government offices, schools, colleges, and other educational institutions will remain closed on April 23, 2024 Tuesday.

A notification issued by the Department of Services and General Administration declared a local holiday in Lahore in the metropolis.

All government and private schools, colleges and universities will remain closed in the city.

School Holiday in Lahore

The holiday was announced in Lahore and Karachi in light of strict security arrangements made for Iranian President Raisi’s visit and ensure a smooth and welcoming environment.

For the unversed, the Punjab Civil Secretariat and related offices will operate as usual. The spokesperson for the Department of Services and General Administration terms Raisi’s visit crucial for both sides.

Heightened security measures are expected across Lahore to ensure a secure environment for President Raisi and his delegation.
