In the wake of deadly Peshawar Police Lines blast, that resulted in the martyrdom of over hundred people mostly cops and injuries to 200 others, and worsening law and order situation the district administration has imposed section 144 in Peshawar over security.
It may be recalled that a serious security laps, even admitted by the Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and the Provincial Police Chief Moazam Ja Ansari, has led to the horrific blast on Monday last thus raising many eyebrows over the poor security arrangements. The notification for imposing section 144 was issued by the district administration on Saturday.
The notification reads that section 144 has been imposed in the provincial capital because of security concerns for a period of 10 days. “The gathering of more than five people at all public places has been banned for the next ten days in Peshawar”. The notification concluded.
