KARACHI – Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon said that the nation would never forget the way the armed forces responded to the Indian aggression.
“We are much excited and would never forget the armed forces ’s befitting response to India,” said the minister, pointing out that had the war continued for some days India would have vanished.
The minister said that he visited different countries and he personally witnessed that Pakistan’s passport is now regarded at the global level. The immigration officers respected the Pakistan’s passport. Sharjeel also recalled the prejudiced behaviors and attitudes of Indians during his visit abroad.
The minister said that the historic success was a result of remarkable coordination between the country’s military and political leadership, and credited the collective resilience of 250 million Pakistanis for this national achievement.
He made these remarks as a chief guest during a Youm-e-Tashakur Day ceremony, organized by the FPCCI’s Central Standing Committee on Media and Broadcasting Convener and Pakistan Observer Chairman Mr. Faisal Zahid Malik, which drew an extraordinary blend of voices from government, media, commerce, echoing a single sentiment—Pakistan’s defense is unshakable and its people are united.
He strongly criticised the Indian media for spreading misinformation and urged for legal action against such outlets at the international level for damaging reputations through false reporting.
Commending the local media, he appreciated its responsible coverage during the recent confrontation, stating that it focused on verified information. He also lauded the bravery of the Pakistan Air Force pilots who inflicted a significant blow to the adversary.
Sharjeel Inam Memon recalled that the foundation of Pakistan’s nuclear programme was laid by the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) founder, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, while his daughter, former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, further strengthened the country’s defence by introducing advanced missile technology.
The other political leaders, senior journalists and business representatives were also present there at the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) to commemorate the triumph of Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos.
Pakistan Observer Chairman and FPCCI Central Standing Committee on Media and Broadcasting Convener Mr. Faisal Zahid Malik gave the welcome speech and echoed the same sentiments while praising Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir for unifying the nation. Mr. Faisal Zahid Malik also thanked China, Türkiye, Azerbaijan, United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia for supporting Pakistan during difficult times.
“Just months ago, we were fragmented. Today, we stand as one nation with one purpose,” he declared. Mr. Malik urged media leaders to take on the role of partners in progress by fighting corruption, resisting toxic narrative, and pushing forward with a mission of economic revival.
“The media is not just a watchdog—it is a builder of the nation’s future,” he remarked.
The tributes were paid to Pakistan’s martyrs and the armed forces, reaffirming that the victory achieved through operation Bunyan Al-Marsus extended beyond the battlefield. It was a win carried equally on the shoulders of military strategy, political clarity, economic stability and responsible journalism.
FPCCI Senior Vice President Saqib Fayyaz Magoon rallying the audience with the thunderous chant, “Long live Pakistan, Long Live Pakistan,” declaring that the 240 million citizens of the country stood as one, alighned with the ideals of sovereignty and sacrifice.
The gathering took place against the backdrop of what many hailed as a defining moment for the nation’s military and moral strength. Khalid Tawab, Chairman of the UBG Sindh Region, acknowledged the strategic brilliance and global recognition of Pakistan’s armed forces, emphasizing that the unity and resilience displayed had neutralized disinformation campaigns.
“The competence of our armed forces has been recognized globally—the world sees through India’s baseless narratives,” Tawab asserted.
Speaking on behalf of the country’s economic stakeholders, FPCCI Vice President Asif Sakhi underscored the unwavering support of the business community for the armed forces, stating that they remained prepared to make any sacrifice necessary to safeguard the nation’s freedom.
“Our commitment is unflinching, we are with our soldiers—always,” he said.
Senator Sarmad Ali added to the momentum, highlighting the leadership of Field Marshal General Asim Munir and the diplomatic outreach of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, nothing their efforts had reinforced Pakistan’s standing on the world stage.
From the media front, Shahab Zuberi, Group CEO of AAJ TV, called for the press to uphold its patriotic duty and continue playing a constructive role in shaping national discourse and promoting economic policy. He emphasized the media’s influence in steering Pakistan towards sustainable development.
At the end, Mr. Faisal Zahid Malik thanked the FPCCI leadership for organizing what many in attendance described as a moment of collective national catharsis—a reminder that, when united, Pakistan is unstoppable, and led prayer for all those who got martyred during Bunyan al-Marsoos operation.
