KARACHI: The Sindh government declared public holidays to commemorate the 45th martyrdom anniversary of PPP founder Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and the “Day After Easter” for the Christian community. The notification issued by the government stated that April 4th, 2024, Thursday, will be observed as a public holiday across the province of Sindh in honor of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s martyrdom anniversary. It further mentioned the closure of all government offices, autonomous and semi-autonomous bodies, corporations, and local councils, except those providing essential services. Additionally, the government extended its acknowledgment to the Christian community by declaring April 1st as a public holiday for the “Day After Easter.” This decision will see the closure of all public and private offices, autonomous bodies, semi-autonomous bodies, and corporations under the administrative control of the Sindh government.
