Sindh Education and Mineral Development Minister, Syed Sardar Ali Shah, has announced that the School Education Department is considering reforms aimed at streamlining administrative positions and enhancing the powers of school principals, headmasters, and headmistresses. He shared these plans during his visit to Government Boys Secondary School Qamar-ul-Islam in Karachi’s District South, accompanied by Rehan Bandokra, the Member of Sindh Assembly (MPA) and the school’s adopter under the “Minister for Initiative for Adoption of School” program. During the visit, Bandokra welcomed Minister Sardar Ali Shah to the school, located in Sindh Assembly Constituency 110 in District South. The event was attended by key officials, including Karachi School Director Mirza Arshad Baig, Chief Engineer of Education Works Karachi Hasan Askari, and District Education Officer Imtiaz Bughio. School Headmistress Farah Baloch briefed the visitors about the school, which has an enrollment of over 700 students, with morning and afternoon shifts for 400 girls. Chief Engineer of Education Works shared those five classrooms had recently been expanded to ten to accommodate the growing student body. Addressing the gathering, Minister Shah expressed commitment to providing necessary facilities for the school and sat in classrooms with teachers to discuss educational needs.
