Steps afoot measures against violations of anti-dengue SOPs

In an earnest effort to combat the menace of dengue, the Rawalpindi Administration has taken stringent measures against violations of anti-dengue Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in various areas of the district, resulting in the registration of approximately 290 First Information Reports (FIRs) since the beginning of this year. Providing comprehensive insights into the punitive actions taken, Dr. Ansar Ishaq, Director Health Rawalpindi, informed that the district administration, in close collaboration with allied departments, has proactively sealed 108 premises, issued 215 Challans, and served notices to 1,106 individuals found in violation of dengue SOPs in 2023. —APP
