LAHORE – Pakistani weightlifter Talha Talib won the country’s first ever medal in World Weightlifting Championship being held in Uzbekistan, it emerged on Friday.
Talib, who had also represented Pakistan at Tokyo Olympics earlier this year, bagged a bronze in snatch category in 67kgs competition.
At Olympics games, the 21-year-old missed bronze by a slight margin of two kilograms but he received huge appreciation from Pakistanis for displaying the solid game.
