TEHRAN – Iran has launched more than 100 ballistic rockets targeting central Israel, marking a sharp escalation in the ongoing conflict between the two nations. Israeli Home Front Command has issued warnings to civilians, while the Iron Dome missile defense system is actively intercepting many of the incoming rockets.
Iran Hits Back Israel
The barrage of Iranian rockets comes after a series of intense Israeli airstrikes targeting Iran’s military and nuclear facilities, including critical sites in Isfahan and Natanz. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) claim to have destroyed important infrastructure involved in Iran’s nuclear weapons program, such as uranium conversion facilities and laboratories.
The conflict intensified further with the reported death of Revolutionary Guard commander Hossein Salami and other senior Iranian officials during the Israeli strikes.
Iran’s missile assault signals a fierce response to these attacks, underscoring the dangerous volatility in the region. Iranian state media also report civilian casualties, including children, from the Israeli raids, though these claims have not been independently verified.
Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump has urged Iran to come to the negotiating table over its nuclear program, warning that Israeli attacks may intensify. Iran, in turn, has accused the U.S. of supporting Israel’s military actions, an accusation denied by Washington.
As rocket sirens blare and defensive systems activate across Israel, the world watches nervously as the conflict threatens to spiral further out of control.
