Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori has urged people to not make memes and fun of a distraught American woman, who has been in Karachi since October for her alleged lover.“I ask all Pakistani nation to not make memes on this and not make fun of the situation as the God would not like it,” he told Suno News in Karachi on Sunday.
“I myself said a thing in a lighter mode, which I should not have said. I said in a fun way, as an example which I think I should not have said.” Onijah Robinson, a 33-year-old American citizen, travelled to Karachi in October to meet her “online friend”. But the 19-year-old boy allegedly abandoned her, citing his family’s disapproval of their marriage, and has since gone missing, reports said. Robinson reportedly left her family in the United States to be with the boy.
