LAHORE – Transfer Fee for bikes, cars, and heavy traffic vehicles has been increased in Punjab as authorities approved a 10percent surge in Vehicle Transfer Charges after Budget 2025.
As per available information, Punjab Excise and Taxation Department said a ten percent hike in transfer fees for motorcycles and various categories of vehicles, with revised rates now in effect after latest revision.
Under the new structure, Transfer fee for a bike has been increased by Rs 55, rising from Rs 550 to Rs 605. For cars with engine capacities between 650cc and 1000cc, the fee has gone up by Rs 275, now totaling Rs 3,025.
Vehicles with engine sizes ranging from 1000cc to 1800cc have seen a Rs 550 increase, setting the new fee at Rs 6,050. For vehicles above 1800cc, the transfer fee has surged by Rs 1,100, now reaching Rs 12,100.

Heavy Transport Vehicles (HTVs) are also affected, with an increase of Rs 550, bringing their new transfer fee to Rs 6,050.
Excise officials confirmed that the updated rates are effective immediately and apply to all relevant vehicle categories. The increase aims to enhance revenue collection and streamline the vehicle registration process across the province.
