As many as three suspects including two robbers who killed and injured citizens over robbery resistance were arrested by police from different areas of the city.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Investigation Muhammad Arif Aslam Rao on Friday, the District West Police Investigation Department arrested 2 suspects who killed and injured citizens for resisting robberies.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) said the Gulshan Maymar Investigation Police arrested accused Ali Hasan who shot and killed citizen Sami Ibrahim for resisting robbery within the limits of Gulshan Maymar police station. While in another action accused Umman Syed was arrested. The arrested accused used to snatch mobile phones from the city at gunpoint and later send them to Afghanistan. Three stolen mobile phones were recovered from the arrested accused. Raids were being carried out to apprehend their other accomplices.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) East Abdul Rahim Shirazi told that a drug peddler was arrested by Mubina Town police and over 1.200kg hashish was recovered from his possession. Arrested was identified as Idrees Kakar. A case had been registered and further investigations were underway.
