ISLAMABAD – Pakistani motorcycle buyers are facing hard time getting new bikes, and prices further moved up after new taxes under the Federal Budget 2025–26. After Honda, United also jacked up prices from July 1, 2025.
Under massive taxation and some relief in the auto segment, the government added New Economic Value (NEV) Levy under Federal Budget 2025–26 and prices of United 70cc bikes soared to 111,000 while United 125 cost 166,500.
The latest price shows growing concerns among buyers, as manufacturers grapple with rising production costs, higher import bills, and increased taxation.

Analysts predict that United’s move will likely prompt other motorcycle and automobile manufacturers to follow suit, potentially leading to a broader trend of price increases across the sector.
NEV Levy along with ongoing currency devaluation, is putting mounting pressure on production and operational costs for local assemblers and importers.
The upward revision in prices may influence consumer behavior, especially among middle-income buyers who form a significant portion of the motorcycle market in Pakistan.
