LAHORE – After Sindh government extender summer vacations in schools, students in Punjab are looking towards the authorities to know if the holidays will be extended in the province.

Schools in Punjab were closed on May 25 as the provincial government had announced seven holidays due to predictions of heatwaves in the province before the start of the summer vacation 2024.

The summer vacations formally commenced from June 1, 2024 and will continue till August 14. All schools are set to reopen on August 15 if the holidays are not extended by the Punjab government.

Update on Extension in Punjab Summer Vacation

Currently, there is no update regarding extension in summer holidays. The government could review the vacation schedule if there is any uncertainty in weather.

Sindh Summer Vacations 2024 Extended

A day earlier, Sindh Education Department has extended summer vacations for schools until August 14 amid hot and humid weather conditions in the region.

The provincial authorities made the decision under the direction of Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah. A notification regarding extension of school holidays said new academic year in Sindh will now start on August 15.
