ISLAMABAD – Pakistani citizens can now travel to 32 countries with either visa-free or visa-on-arrival access, as the global ranking of the Pakistani passport has improved significantly.
According to international ranking platform Henley & Partners, Pakistan’s passport currently ranks 100th in the world—an improvement from its 113th position in 2021. This positive development reflects Pakistan’s growing diplomatic engagements and improved international relations.
In a recent advancement, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Pakistan have signed an agreement that exempts holders of diplomatic and official passports from visa requirements.
The agreement will ease travel formalities for government and diplomatic officials, further strengthening bilateral ties between the two nations.
Earlier, the reports had emerged that Pakistani nationals are required to meet the following requirements in order to get visa free entry into Qatar:
The passenger’s passport must be valid for at least 6 months.
The passenger must have a confirmed return ticket.
The passenger must have a valid debit or credit card. (For a family travelling together, the card must be in the name of the passenger or one per family)
The visa will be granted for 30 days free of charge and is not extendable.
Passengers should provide a confirmed hotel reservation.
Passengers arriving directly from Pakistan should have a certificate of vaccination against polio.
